Description

We are a privately owned small animal hospital seeking a highly skilled, reliable, and compassionate Veterinary Technician/CVT to join our team. The ideal candidate will have proven hands-on experience in surgical assistance and anesthesia monitoring, be confident performing venipuncture and placing IV catheters, and demonstrate proficiency with in-house laboratory equipment and diagnostic procedures. The right individual will possess excellent patient care and handling skills, thrive in a fast-paced clinical setting, and have the ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Strong communication skills, a team-oriented mindset, and a genuine commitment to providing high-quality care to both patients and clients are essential for success in this role. Rate of pay will be based on level of experience.

Duties

• Assist veterinarians with surgical procedures and patient monitoring
• Perform blood draws and laboratory testing
• Place and maintain IV catheters
• Administer medications and treatments as directed
• Maintain accurate medical records
• Provide compassionate care to patients and clear communication with pet owners

Experience

• Proven veterinary technician experience with a strong background in animal handling, restraint, and clinical support.
• Knowledge of veterinary terminology and animal anatomy is essential for accurate communication and procedure execution.
• Experience with veterinary critical care procedures and laboratory testing enhances your ability to respond swiftly to urgent situations.
• Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining compassionate patient care.
