We are seeking a part or full-time veterinarian to join our motivated team in providing excellent care for our patients. We are a privately owned, three doctor, small animal practice in beautiful Frederick, Maryland. Willingness to treat exotics is a plus but not required. No emergency duties outside of normal business hours. You will be able to practice high quality medicine that is tailored to your patient’s needs. We have a fantastic mentoring program and offer great pay and benefits.

Duties
- Diagnose and treat a wide variety of medical conditions in animals, including emergency cases within normal business hours requiring critical care.
- Perform surgical procedures with precision, adhering to aseptic techniques and veterinary standards.
- Conduct thorough animal examinations, utilizing knowledge of animal physiology, anatomy, and veterinary terminology.
- Restrain animals safely using appropriate animal handling and restraint techniques to ensure safety for both pets and staff.
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments tailored to each patient’s needs.
- Use laboratory tests, diagnostic imaging, and other diagnostic procedures to support accurate diagnoses.
- Discuss animal husbandry and educate pet owners on proper animal care practices.
- Handle specialized procedures such as animal catheterization and aseptic techniques during surgeries or treatments.
- Use ezyVet software to maintain detailed medical records, ensuring all treatments and procedures are accurately documented in compliance with veterinary protocols.

Requirements
Veterinary experience with a valid Maryland Veterinary license and the eagerness to handle medical and surgical cases
- Solid understanding of veterinary terminology and procedures.
- Knowledge of animal physiology, anatomy, and laboratory techniques essential for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
