Covington Vet Clinic is seeking a compassionate and skilled veterinarian who is passionate about practicing high-quality medicine in a supportive, collaborative environment. This is a great opportunity to join a growing practice that will be merging with our main clinic into a larger facility at the end of 2026. We have exciting growth ahead! We are currently building a new 4,000 sq. ft., state-of-the-art veterinary facility that will include: six exam rooms, a surgery suite, an intensive care unit, isolation, and designated cat and dog boarding.

Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality veterinary care and client communication
Perform general surgical procedures
Collaborate with a seasoned support team
Maintain accurate digital medical records

Qualifications:
Valid license to practice in Georgia
General surgical experience required
Energetic, team-oriented, and compassionate
Excellent communication skills with clients and staff with a strong work ethic

Hospital & Equipment:
Fun, experienced support staff
Digital X-ray
In-house Vetscan bloodwork and urinalysis machines including Imagyst
Fully digital records system

Schedule:
Tuesdays–Thursdays with the opportunity to work Fridays
No after-hours or holiday emergencies! – there is a local after-hours ER nearby.

Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive base salary + production bonus
$10,000 signing bonus offered!
CE allowance, dues, and licenses paid

The historic downtown square in Covington has been used for filming the CW television series “Vampire Diaries," the CW television series "The Originals and "Legacies," a Hallmark Christmas Movie titled “Christmas Everlasting” and Dolly Parton’s “Coat of Many Colors.” Covington was also used for filming "The Dukes of Hazzard." The square includes several restaurants and boutique stores, as well as a bakery and an art gallery. Covington is just 30 minutes from Atlanta, and less than an hour from Athens.
