Description
CARE Veterinary Center is looking for a full-time Lead Veterinary Technician to join our Overnight Emergency team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community in Frederick, MD.$1,000 Sign-On Bonus Available!
About You
You’ll play an important role in pets’ lives by delivering high-quality care in a fast-paced 24/7 emergency environment while serving as a clinical resource for the overnight team. Your work will range from hands-on emergency and critical care (including triage, diagnostic testing and treatment support) to overseeing patient flow and supporting admissions, transfers and discharges throughout the overnight shift.

Your Experience & Skills
• Minimum 2 years of clinical veterinary experience as a Veterinary Technician (direct patient care)
• CVT/RVT/LVT (active and current) strongly preferred
• Superior/advanced technical skills
• 1-2 years of leadership experience (in a veterinary clinic setting) strongly preferred but not required
• Has strong anesthesia skills (Able to obtain Blood pressure, ECG, Sp02, and ETC02 and integrate clinical signs with disease processes to assist doctors in early and appropriate intervention of patient care)
• Possesses a positive work attitude
• Self-motivated
• Excellent leadership, communication and organization skills

Compensation is negotiable based on experience and credentials, with an expected starting range of $26 - $32 / hour. The actual compensation will carefully consider a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Overnight differential available!
