Students will spend 40 hrs/week alongside WRC's medical team assisting with intake exams, performing physical exams, administering medications and fluids, restraining patients for procedures, interpreting radiographs and other diagnostics, monitoring anesthesia, assisting with orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, and performing physical therapy.

This competitive position is offered to only a few students during each session. Students are expected to have completed their final coursework - this is hands-on externship that is required by degreed programs. During the session you'll have an opportunity to work with a wide variety of different species, we admit approximately 200 different species every year.
