Deliver high-quality patient care through physical exams, diagnostics, treatment, and preventive care tailored to each animal’s needs.
Apply a problem-based approach to develop differential diagnoses, diagnostic plans, and appropriate treatments.
Accurately document all medical findings, diagnostics, treatments, and client communications in the patient record.
Perform routine and advanced surgical procedures, including spays/neuters, mass removals, and abdominal exploratories.
Conduct comprehensive dental procedures, including radiograph evaluation, extractions, and oral surgery.
Develop and manage treatment plans for hospitalized patients, ensuring smooth transitions to overnight or referral care.
Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements
Ability to take direction and feedback from the Hospital Medical Leader
Commitment to upholding the standards outlined in the company’s Veterinary SOPs
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school
Active veterinary license (or ability to obtain) in the state of practice, free of contingencies
Current DEA license
Controlled Substance License in Florida (or ability to obtain by start date, if applicable)
USDA Category I Accreditation (or completion within two months of hire)
Comfortable performing anesthesia and routine surgeries, including spays, neuters, mass removals, and dentals
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Compassionate and professional demeanor, especially in emotional or high-stress situations
Proficient with telephone and computer systems
Team-oriented mindset with openness to learning, sharing ideas, and adapting to change
