Your Role as an Associate Veterinarian:
We’re seeking a veterinarian who is comfortable and confident performing surgery and possesses strong surgical skills. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative, supportive environment and is committed to providing exceptional medical and surgical care to our patients. In this role, you’ll work closely with a skilled and compassionate support team to deliver high-quality care. A consistent part-time schedule is required, with availability on Thursdays and Fridays a must.
If you are interested in a full-time opportunity, there is also the option to work one additional day per week at Edgewood Animal Clinic in Lakeland, Florida, our sister hospital, allowing you to expand your schedule while remaining part of our broader team.
About the hospital:
Located just outside of Tampa, Alafia River Animal Hospital is a purpose-built, modern facility designed to support excellence in veterinary care. The clinic itself sits on a beautiful 4.5-acre lot with donkeys and show cattle boarding on-site, creating a truly unique and welcoming atmosphere for both staff and clients.

Lithia, FL is a peaceful, family-friendly community located just 20–30 minutes from downtown Tampa, offering a perfect balance of rural charm and city convenience.
